These figures are not just words printed on paper. In them, I saw the sweat of my countrymen, their years of hard work and their unwavering confidence. Our country is at the top of this list, leaving behind the rich and powerful countries of the whole world. Let me tell you in detail about this list and the feelings hidden behind it.

#1. Our country, India – A unique determination to realize dreams
Reading the name of our India at the first position in this list, I remembered a distant relative of mine. Years ago, he went to Dubai empty-handed. He worked day and night and today he has a beautiful house of his own there. This is not just the story of one person, but the story of millions of Indians. Today, the middle and upper classes of India have the financial strength to buy property not only in their own country but also abroad. We Indians are people who are deeply emotionally attached to land and houses. For us, home is not just a building of bricks and cement, but also the security of our family and our ‘feelings’. Due to Dubai’s safety, best lifestyle and policies like Golden Visa, Indians have become the kings of the real estate market there today.
#2. United Kingdom – In search of sunshine and peace
Britain is at number two on this list. The British, who once ruled our country, are now one step behind us in terms of buying property! There is a different kind of thrill in thinking about this. Who would love the foggy, rainy and cold weather of London for the rest of their lives? Britons are buying their luxury villas on the warm beaches of the UAE to spend their retirement days peacefully and escape the bitter cold of winter. The tax-free system and luxurious life there attract them a lot.
#3. China – Business acumen and global perspective
In third place is China. The Chinese people are always known all over the world for their business acumen and foresight. They see the world map as just one huge market. For Chinese businessmen and investors, the UAE is a strong platform from where they can directly monitor the markets of Africa, Europe and the Middle East. They are investing in large-scale commercial space and high-rise buildings in Dubai. However, their approach is mostly for financial profit, while our approach is more about the security of family and future generations.
#4. Saudi Arabia – Love of neighbor and unbreakable ties
In fourth place is the neighboring country Saudi Arabia. The relationship between Saudi and the UAE is like that of two brothers. Their language, their religion, their culture and food are almost the same. Dubai is a great weekend destination just a few hours’ drive away for wealthy Saudi families and citizens. They come to the UAE for holidays, Eid celebrations or any other celebrations. Due to the frequent commute, they prefer to buy their own luxurious homes instead of renting.
#5. Russia – Hope for security and stability
Fifth and last on this list is Russia. The world has witnessed many major political upheavals and wars in the past few years. Amidst all this turmoil and economic uncertainty, wealthy Russians have turned to the UAE to protect their capital. They want to provide a peaceful and secure environment for their families. The UAE’s neutral stance and strong economy have proven to be a boon for Russian investors.
Our Journey, Our Pride
When I look at these figures again and again, I realise that there was a time when having a home abroad was just a beautiful dream for an ordinary Indian. But these figures of 2026 have proven that we have truly become global citizens.
We have taken not just our people, but our culture, our festivals and our emotions across the seven seas. When you are walking in a crowded mall in Dubai and suddenly someone calls you from behind in pure Gujarati or Hindi, the sweet feeling of belonging in a foreign country cannot be described in words.
Our number one position in this list does not just reflect the strength of our bank balance, it reflects our courage and our never-give-up attitude. When the next generation reads this history, they will be proud that their family made the roses of their dreams bloom not only in their homeland but also in the sands of the desert.
